Chauncey Scott is a photographer, videographer, creative director, and editor with over a decade of work at the intersection of brand storytelling, editorial, music, and sports. Based in Austin, Texas, he works regularly in Los Angeles, New York, and Portland, and travels domestically and internationally for his clients. His work has been featured with Apple Music, Billboard, Dolby, Getty Images, Playboy, Rivian, Voyage Magazine, and others — with multiple Billboard features and editorial distribution through Getty Images worldwide.

Scott has photographed well-recognized artists and performers including Corinne Bailey Rae, Don Toliver, Hannibal Buress, Junior H, Leon Bridges, Mau P, Noah Kahan, Ravyn Lenae, and The All American Rejects, among others. His work is defined by contrast, emotion, mood, vulnerability, and an instinct for capturing the energy between people and place — the surreal, honest moment that makes a photograph feel alive.

His commercial work spans brand campaigns, editorial photography, fashion, fine art, lifestyle, music and concert coverage including song and album artwork, sports, and street photography.

He believes in diversity as both a value and a practice, and his work reflects his background and creative range. As he continues down his path, he reminds himself, and others, that “there's more to what meets the eye,” and to always, “live for the dream.”

“I'm proud of many pieces that represent me as an artist, but I'm most deeply connected to the stories and experiences I share with people or a subject I photograph.

My strongest work often comes from personal projects. Whether I am alone creating an idea, traveling and wandering the streets with music in my ears and a camera in hand, trusting the instinct that pulls me toward an image, or connecting with a subject through conversation and letting the photograph grow from that moment.

I aim to inspire others and believe in collaboration, support, connection, and growing together. What sets me apart is simple. I am Chauncey Scott. I remind myself of that every day.
